When the colors are left seperate, they did not dry out, but when mixed, they dried out against claims of never drying out. Overall my daughter was satisfied. However I was pleased at how easy it was to clean, especially out of the carpet.

I am always up for anything that keeps the kids away from the TV and this definitely does the trick. I actually find this to be less messy and a pain than play-doh. I have tile on my kitchen floor, so if any does fall, it is easily vacuumed up. I don't have to worry about it drying out while they are using it (honestly I don't know if it ever dries out or not...it isn't wet, but it easily compacts) and I don't have to pick it out of all the crevices of the molding toys. Another plus is that is doesn't get mashed into clothes...it easily slips/brushes of clothing.
I have a 6 yr old girl and a 4 year old boy who have used their's for the last year + and still beg to pull it out often. I am going to buy another set for a nephew for next Christmas and 2 more sets for my kids.

My son (4 at the time) asked for moon sand for Christmas. I got the basic set for him and he absolutely loves it. It is very easy to clean up and doesn't make much of a mess. I am now looking for the set that comes with the tractor that actually picks up the moon sand.

I teach children with autism and I bought this for my classroom. My students LOVE it...most of them. It is a GREAT sensory activity for them. It is great for their fine motor skills as well as social skills. I love that I can spray is with antibacterial spray and let it dry overnight. They did manage to pop the sand box after two days, but that was kind of expected. Its not that messy...nothing a broom and a quick sweep cant handle!

I purchased this kit for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. We play with it at least twice a week and she's in love with it. My only complaints are that the sand doesn't come in a container to be stored in so you have to find either one of those cheap tupperware containers to store it in, or large ziploc bags. My other problem is that the sand is a hassle to clean up, even if you use the plastic carrying case. I find bits of sand all over everyday. Still a great product despite the drawbacks.
